Overview

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Shoulder Season Program Coordinator will further the mission of Camp Shady Brook and the YMCA through the planning and delivery of conference & retreat center and OEE group activities and events. Provide leadership and supervision of conference & retreat programs and execute all responsibilities for these programs according to the policies of the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region. Assist in the management of the C & R/OEE operation at the direction of the Associate Executive Director.

Spring  Season: (3/1 - 5/25) 

Responsibilities

  • Instructs and delivers quality OEE, conference & retreat programs.
  • Plays an active role as a team member to ensure all program goals are met.
  • Develops staff and program schedules as needed.
  • Provide groups with quality customer service and professionalism.
  • Ensure programs are delivered safely and professionally at all times.
  • Maintain positive relationships with other staff members and guests.
  • Work diligently to maintain the clean and professional appearance of camp facilities.
  • Support the total camp program as a contributing member of the team.
  • Serve as a friendly contact for all conference & retreat inquiries.

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Previous camp experience (preferred)
  • Ability to provide safe and effective programming while working with youth 
  • Willingness to work as a part of a staff team
